Interviewer: Who’s your favourite member of One Direction?
Paul Klein: Oh, man, Harry Styles is like –
Interviewer: That’s your boy?
Paul Klein: That’s my guy. Okay, low key, I was at Cafe Habana in Malibu. This was like, a couple of months ago. Harry sitting right across me. I don’t know Harry – never met him. So. we locked eyes about ten times. Like I was – it’s like – this sounds so hilarious. I was like – obviously I know who Harry Styles is. There’s zero reason why Harry Styles should know who I am. Literally zero reason.
Interviewer: You never know!
Paul Klein: But dude, was like. I would be looking down – I look up, he’s staring at me. I’m like – maybe he knows LANY? Like. You know, ‘cos like the industry is like, really small. Nobody in the world knows who LANY is, but like, somehow Sam Smith knows who LANY is. You know, how does that even happen? We have like 25 followers on Twitter. You know what I mean?
Interviewer: Yeah, it’s weird.
Paul Klein: So, I even texted Rupert. I was like, “Harry is very…” It was so much to the point that I almost got up and was like, “Bro, do we know –? Like, hi, I’m Paul –” Like, I almost wanted to say hi. But I think he’s so cool. I just love – I just love him.
Interviewer: Yeah, he’s a cool dude.
Paul Klein: I’m gonna be – I’m gonna be homies with Harry Styles one day. We’re just gonna kick it. We’re gonna, like – My favourite thing about him, is he was at this restaurant at 4 PM on Sunday afternoon in like, gym shorts and a white T-shirt. Someone needed to – they needed him to move his car so they could get out. He was so chill about it. I like that about – I like that. He just seemed very down to earth.
